Having over 30 years clinical experience on general surgery, Wang is an expert in the areas of Hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, Clinical TPN(Total Parenteral Nutrition),etc. and committed to the scientific research on pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis.
Wang is the vice-director of the Digestive Diseases Research Institute of Wuhan University, vice-chairman of the General Surgery Branch of Hubei Medical Association, vice-chairman of the Hubei Laparoscopic Surgery Association, vice-chairman of the Hubei Pancreatic Association, editorial board member of Journal of Clinical Surgery. Moreover, he has published over 100 papers, more than 20 have been recorded by SCI. In recent years, Wang has edited or co-edited nearly 6 professional publications as well as hosted and participated in 6 scientific research projects at national and ministerial level. He has also won the second prize of Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Award once and Provincial Teaching Achievement Prize once.
